Winter in the garden
Winter arrived for a few days to disconnect us from the world.
In the week of January 6 in the northern provinces of the Netherlands were covered with ice after one night of snow, rain turned roads into glazed ice rinks. The highest grade of our weather warning system was given to the public, code red with the warning not to go out on the streets. This natural lock-down took 3 days of our freedom to travel. A few times a day I had to go out to feed the rabbits and chicken and walking on the grass was not so slippery as on the tiles. As this glazed ice is very rare for so long I couldn’t resist not to make pictures but limited myself to a one time walk around with my camera in the garden and the fields to avoid accidents which can happen on a icy underground. Photo is made on January 6.
For the birds it was paradise as most predators were not active during those days.
